When we first started on our photography journey back in 2012, one of the places we visited was Wakehurst Place in West Sussex. Among the beautiful rhododendrons stood this pastel pink bloom.

The Rhododendron is a popular plant for gardens due to its striking colors and bloom size. It is known for its ability to thrive in acidic soils with plenty of organic matter. However, it requires consistent moisture and shelter from harsh winds.
In addition to its aesthetic appeal, the Rhododendron has medicinal uses as well. It has been traditionally used in India, China, and Japan for its anti-inflammatory and anti-tumor properties.
Whether you admire the Rhododendron for its beauty or appreciate its medicinal uses, there’s no denying the impact it has. It’s definitely a flower worth celebrating on this Floral Friday.
Below is a list of the entries for FF #87 Floral Friday Photography Challenge. Be sure to check the wonderful floral images for the challenge.
