We’ve made several trips to Eltham Palace House and Gardens in London, and each time we’ve visited we the florals in the gardens are so captivating. This photograph of a bearded iris was shot way back in 2014 just as we were going from Spring into Summer.
I still remember how the sunlight shone on the petals, creating a perfect contrast to the dark purple hue. The bearded iris is a unique flower, known for its fuzzy, hairy appearance on the lower petals, which is why it’s called bearded.
Bearded iris comes in many shades and colors, from white to peach, pink, yellow, blue, and purple, so you can choose the one that suits your garden’s style.
