Flower of the Day – 15th April 2023

Spring is here, the sun is getting warmer and spring flowers are now in abundance.

A photograph of a cluster of daffodils photographed at Great Dixter House and Gardens in East Sussex.

As you drive through the country lanes, you can see many a daffodil standing proud in the grass verges. It is like a breath of fresh air to see swatches of yellow daffodils as they grace us with the beauty of spring.

Daffodils to me, mark the start of spring. With many varieties now available for the gardener to plant.

And this image is just perfect for Cee’s Flower of the Day Photography Challenge.

  3. Wow, what a stunning photograph of the ‘Red Devon’ Daffodil! The bright yellow daffodils are so captivating, and the way they are clustered together creates a sense of harmony and unity. It’s as if they are all singing together in a beautiful chorus of springtime joy. The contrast between the vibrant red-orange cup and the soft yellow petals is absolutely mesmerizing. The way the sunlight illuminates each petal is truly stunning, and it’s impossible not to feel uplifted and inspired by such a beautiful sight. It’s amazing how nature can create such intricate and beautiful designs. The way the petals gracefully curve around the cup is a true testament to the beauty of these flowers. You did an excellent job capturing the intricate details of the petals and the color contrast. This photograph truly captures the essence of the daffodil – its radiance, its warmth, and its sheer beauty. Well done! 👍👏👌😊

  7. The way the flowers are pictured here, where they are highlighted by shadow is great. It looks like you are finding a hidden garden, that is rarely being shown in the light. I loved this, thank you for sharing.
