It took me a while, but I made it… I made it to the tree with blossom. One thing that ‘Freddy – the freeloader’ (my name for my cancer) is doing to me is taking my breath away. And my stamina is not what it used to be. However, I was determined to get to the end of the path at Hall Place to photograph the blossom that was blooming on the trees just before you reached the visitor centre and gallery.

To see the blossom in spring, gives you a spring in your step. Or not in my case, but it gave me incentive. Plus, there were plenty of benches to rest upon, until I got my breath back.
But once I reached the tree, all my fatigue disappeared. The sight of the delicate pink and white flowers was breathtaking. I couldn’t help but take multiple photos from different angles to capture the beauty of the flower. It reminded me that even in the midst of a struggle, there is still so much beauty in the world.
As I sat on the bench, admiring the blossom and soaking up the sun, I realized how important it is to take a moment to appreciate the little things in life. Sometimes, we get so caught up in our daily routines that we forget to stop and smell the flowers, quite literally in this case.
So, I urge you all to take a few moments out of your day and appreciate the beauty that surrounds you- whether it’s the flowers that bloomed in your garden or the smile on a loved one’s face. And if you can’t go out and experience it in person, simply take a moment to look at a picture of a gorgeous flower and let it brighten up your day.

With that said, I hope this flower of the day post has brought a bit of joy and beauty into your day. Until next time!
