Mid- Week Monochrome #124

Tulip from Hole Park

Not far from us, about 1hrs drive, is Knole Park in Rolvenden, Kent. Hole is renowned for it bluebells in the spring along with many spring flowers like the tulip, and the daffodils.

A photography of a l tulip photographed at Hole Park in Kent.

Tulips are one of my hubby’s favourite flowers. We have some tulips in our spring outdoor modular planters; however, they are nowhere near as those we photograph whilst on our travels.

Want to know what your image would look like in monochrome… Press the V key in Lightroom Classic and it will give you the basic monochrome version.

  8. I’m always hesitant to rob flowers of their colours but if it brings out the texture as in your photo … I like it anway. 😊

  10. I almost linked to your monochrome FOTD then saw this, Bren. Lovely tulip in monochrome. It will be a few more weeks before we see tulips because of our long winter this year. Here is mine today–I went with color monochrome (thanks for hosting): https://secondwindleisure.com/2023/03/08/wordlesswednesday-seasonal-monochromes/

  16. It’s always interesting when we choose to make a colourful flower into a black and white image. Nice texture to the image 😎👍 Here’s my entry – https://2e0mca.wordpress.com/2023/03/09/mid-week-monochrome-124-waiting/
