Floral Friday – FF#82 – Crocuses

One thing I love about spring is that spring is the start of the flowering season. Yes, there are shrubs that bloom in winter. However, when you start to see spring flowers, you know that the weather is hopefully getting warmer, and the sun is going to shine longer.

Crocuses, you just can’t beat a spring crocus to make you start to feel that winter is now a thing of the past.

  5. You wouldn’t believe it when I tell you that I saw crocuses in October 2022, in Croatia! But then I also saw cherry blossoms in October 2022 in Germany! So I guess anything is possible these days 😀.
    Beautiful capture..

    1. I too saw crocuses here in October, at Nymans… I thought they can’t be blooming now, surely! By all accounts there are autumn crocuses… They say you learn something new every day. 😀 😀 😀

  6. So pretty – but isn’t it too early for crocusses (croci?) I want winter first! (accompanied by foot stamping)

    1. I’m hoping for for more snow. I doubt if we will get it. That’s the only thing I love about winter. That and a log fire. Mind you I don’t mind sunny crisp frosty mornings.
