Happy New Year Everyone…

First of all, I would like to wish all my readers and fellow bloggers a Happy New Year. I do hope you enjoyed your festivities. Let’s hope better times are ahead and 2023 isn’t as harsh as some predict.

Well, I eventually got over the flu… over 5 weeks… of lack of energy and feeling like I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards. 😀 😀 😀 I’ve had flu before but never like this. I did the lateral flow test now and again… all negative.

Thank you all for your kind messages, they have been so comforting…

My sympathises lie with all those who are suffering or have suffered this horrible virus. It is so debilitating, believe me, it zaps every ounce of energy out of you.

New Year New Changes

Going forward in 2023, I am making the following changes.

Five at Five

I really enjoyed this series as I know you did… but I was finding I was spending way too much time trying to get people to take part. I am thankful for all those that have participated, you made the series what it is; and for any future participants (which I hope there will be.)

Going forward, the challenge is still open, and if people want to participate just email me with your answers and I will do a post. I just don’t have the time now to do what I was doing before. Remember you don’t have to be a professional photographer to participate, it you a just a snap-shot photographer you are more than welcome.

And don’t forget even if you write a lot, there are writer’s questions as well. So please, don’t be shy, read how to join in and then email me your answers to brashley.photography@outlook.com.

And readers, if you know of anyone who you think my like to get that little bit of extra coverage … tell them about this series and hopefully they will join in.

Mid-Week Monochrome and Floral Friday

No changes here, I will still host these challenges and Mid-Week Monochrome is back on Wednesday and Floral Friday is back this Friday.

I hope to still participate in other bloggers challenges… as and when I can.

Bacardi Girl Blog

I also want to post more on my other blog Bacardi Girl UK. It will be a mixture of reviews, general topics, and short stories as well as my rants about the world we live in today. 😀 😀 😀 😀 And boy, can I rant… 😀 😀 😀 😀

So, this cheeky little face says: Here’s to 2023 being a better year.

Happy New Year … here’s to a better 2023

And finally, for my first floral image of 2023, I give you this beautiful dahlia photographed at Nymans in West Sussex, as part of Cee’s Flower of the Day Photography Challenge.

  1. Hi Bren – Good to know you’re finally better. I sympathise, as one of my daughters had That ‘Flu over Christmas, and it effectively ruined the whole period for her. It’s horrid, isn’t it? Good to see you’re back blogging too. I may not participate quite so regularly in Midweek Monochrome as I too am reviewing how things go with my blog: I’ll be doing less, that’s for sure. But you can’t get rid of me either!
