As November Closes

Heather and Butterfly

This is it, the last day of November 2022. I found Becky’s WalkingSquares challenge rather late into the month. Tomorrow will start the countdown for Christmas…

So, my contribution to the final Walking Squares of November 2022, is this image photographed back in 2012 on our walk around Sheffield Park Gardens.

Whilst most of us will enjoy the festivities and what Christmas brings others will be facing their first Christmas without a loved one, whether it be their partner, parent, a family member or even a pet. Just like Becky, our blogging friend, who lost her beloved back in April.

Our late Queen, Elizabeth II who passed away in September 2022, spoke these words in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks.

Grief is the price we pay for love.

And as Alfred, Lord Tennyson said:

Tis better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all.

Becky, us bloggers who have followed you throughout your blogging time, send you a heartfelt Virtual Hug at this painful time in your life. We may not by physically here, and I am sure I don’t speak just for myself when I say, “We are here for you in the blogging virtual world too, should you need us”.

Well done on completely this month’s challenge. ❤ ❤
