Lavender

I just love the smell of lavender, especially when you brush up against it, then it seems to emit a much stronger fragrance. Lavender Oil is good for helping you sleep and relieving stress.

When we first moved into our house, there was a proper Old English Lavender Bush, and I used to collect the lavender sprigs and put them in a small netting bag and keep in amongst our clothes.

Unfortunately, when we had our garden landscaped, we tried to keep some of it in a tub but it just didn’t like it and gradually died off.

  1. I’m no good at growing lavender either, so this photo is an excellent substitute!

    1. Thank you, Margaret…. It was such a shame it didn’t take in a pot… as it was pure English Lavender.

      1. They’re not long-lived plants, so don’t beat yourself up.

        1. I’ve been growing mint, parsley and sage in little herb pots on my windowsill … It was only the other night that he looked at me and said… ‘Jesus girl, I didn’t expect them to last this long!’

          To be honest neither did I. 😀 😀 😀 😀
