On the Ouse at York

During our holiday in North Yorkshire, one day we decided to go to York. Now I don’t have sea-legs, and can feel sea-sick on a boating lake… so, when he suggested we take a river trip on as boat… I froze with fright.

With a lot of coaxing, I boarded the river cruise boat and sat by the life-jacket box 😀 😀 Which by luck was at the very front of the boat… so, we got some great shots of York.

A photograph of the river Ouse at York.

The sky was very bland… not a cloud in the sky, just overcast and dismal. So, a quick trip into ON1 Photo RAW 2023 for a sky replacement and then back into Lightroom for my final edits.

Mind you, I have to say, as much as I am scared of water… I did enjoy that trip… but was glad when my feet were on firm ground again.

    1. I noticed all buildings that would have been factories or warehouses have been turned into flats. Mind you, I’m glad they converted them and still kept the character of the original building.

        1. Thing is these contractors do these conversations and then people struggle to get a mortgage on them. Or the rent is way too high xx

  6. An interesting mix of old and new. You also found a nice sky to go with the featureless light. Well done.
