Now I don’t know about you… but real-life gets in the way at times… when you are cooking, cleaning, doing mundane household tasks, trying to keep up with blogging can be a bit hard at times. Trying to fit it all in, can be a chore within itself.
That is where Software comes into play. As you can gather, I am a Lightroom Classic gal… and believe it or not, I am finding since the release of On1 Photo RAW 2023… I am spending less in the Develop Module with my images.
Will I get rid of Lightroom and let On1 be my number one software choice? Well, not at the moment. I have Photoshop installed on my laptop and desktop (which my son gets to grips with far quicker than I do). For precision work in Photoshop, you need a Wacom pen and tablet, which are good, but with arthritis in my hands, I find holding the pen for too long can end up being rather painful. So mainly it is mouse work for me.
So, I need software where I can edit an image with just a few clicks.
On1 Photo RAW 2023, is the easiest of software to get to grips with and cuts down my editing times.
Yellow Tulips and an Orange Rose
Believe or not, I just did these four images with a few clicks. In a matter of a few minutes actually.

On1 Photo RAW 2023 Limitations
- No plugins to export to Flickr, PicFair, Viewbug, or other social media platforms if you are using Windows. The only option you have is SmugMug.
- No Export Plugin for WordPress.com websites.
- No Publish Services
- And you have to subscribe to use the Cloud Sync service.
Whether these features will come for Windows users later I don’t know… But I don’t fancy have to use a mobile to share an image to my favourite sites when it is easier in Adobe Lightroom Classic.
I find my workflow of Lightroom Classic > On1 Raw >Lightroom easily workable. So, if these features don’t arrive, I will continue to use Lightroom.
