It’s been five years since we visited Sheffield Park Gardens to see the autumn colours. Anyway, I looked at our last visit date and it was 21st September 2017.
So, we thought, oh the autumn colours will be there…
Alas, no… the trees were starting to turn to their autumnal colours, but nowhere near like they were in 2017.
This has surely been one weird year for weather.
In fact, our day was marred as soon as we got there… My camera when switched on was dead as a dodo. By all accounts, according to YouTube.. a sensor on the camera door was playing up… so, the camera wouldn’t switch on. But no fears now, once we were home, I followed the instructions about the sensor and it is now working… Thank God.

I suppose with the temperatures being still quite warm; it has thrown the seasons out. Anyway, we’ve decided to go back to go back in about 3 weeks. Hopefully, then the trees will be in their full autumn colours.
Heading back out of Sheffield Park Gardens, amongst the trees were these beautiful flowers.

Immediately, I thought crocuses in autumn. No way!
But an Edge Visual Search soon told me that they are colchicum autumn crocuses. I didn’t even know about you could get autumn crocuses.
Here’s to our next trip… hoping the camera works, and the trees turn more autumnal.
