During our first year of photography, we visited a place called Sheffield Park Gardens in East Sussex. When strolling around the gardens, I saw this red rose.

However, having a Lightroom Catalogue of nearly 40,000 images… I vaguely remembered taking a photo of a red rose, but for the life of me I couldn’t think where I photographed it. You see, I wanted to change the shop-bought canvas print in my lounge, to an image that we had photographed. I knew I wanted a flower and it had to be a rose. And a red one at that.
Then by chance, as we are planning a visit back to Sheffield Park Gardens to capture the autumn colours, I stumbled across the image I was looking for. Anyway, to cut a long story short, my new canvas should arrive in early October.
Red roses, hold a special place in my heart. And I can’t wait to hang it on my wall.
Depending on whether the canvas is worthy of the money spent, I will then order another canvas for our dining room, only this time I’ll use the hydrangea flower below.
