Back in 2015, I had so many different diagnoses’ as to what was wrong with me and eventually, they diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia/Polymyalgia Rheumatica and arthritic. My hips were getting to feel the effects of the arthritis and we decided to embark on a once in a lifetime journey. Yes, we went on a Great Rail Experience to the West Coast of the USA. Starting off in San Francisco and finishing in Monterey before heading home.
Places we visited in San Francisco
I left my heart in San Francisco
Lyrics Sung by Tony Bennett
High on a hill, it calls to me
To be where little cable cars climb halfway to the stars
The morning fog may chill the air, I don’t care
To ride in a cable car and to see the crooked street known as Lombard Street, is sheer delight.

I couldn’t believe that it was a regular thing for the fog to roll in and cover the Golden Gate Bridge…. But to drive over that bridge and view the sights of San Francisco was breath-taking.
My whole life I wanted to visit San Francisco and in 2015 I made it.
However, nobody warned us about the microclimates that San Francisco has to offer. One minute you are sweltering, the next you chilly. It is like the whole city has mini-areas of different weather, depending on where you are.
I truly left my heart there… as we headed for
