One of our favourite places to visit is the New Forest… During the August bank holiday, we decided to have a few days away in Hampshire. As we sat on a wooden bench near Boldre to admire the ponies and deers (which by the way decided to hide up)… I took the above image.
Unfortunately, the sky was just grey and bland… so, I decided to do some sky replacement manipulation in Photoshop with their Sky replacement tool.
I used one of the skies that comes with Photoshop and just played around with the settings until I achieved the result I wanted.
Then a quick develop using the hue/saturation adjustment layer and then back into Lightroom Classic for the final touches of enhancing the colours and adding quite a few radial filters to bring light to certain parts of the image.
If my image doesn’t look right… I have no hesitation in using software to enhance it… whether it be a sky replacement or using a texture overlay.
Remember it is your image… do what you like with it!
