Corton Coastline – Water Water Everywhere

A photograph of Corton Coastline processed in Lightroom and Photoshop.

Camera: Canon EOS 70D
Lens: Canon EF-S18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
/Number: f/7.1
ISO: 100

Focal Distance: 24 mm
Shutter Speed: 1/80 sec
Software: Adobe Lightroom CC, Topaz Studio 2 and Photoshop
Photographer: Ashley Ryan

My processing technique for the above image was to do a sky replacement in Photoshop as the sky was bland and dismal. From there I went into Topaz Studio, added a glow filter. Once finished in Photoshop I went back into Lightroom and added a Preset I created called ‘Sunlightseascape‘.

To add more depth to the image I used the Brush Tool in Lightroom with an exposure adjustment in places of 0.44 and 0.23 to add light to the waves and some of the rocks.

Unfortunately Lightroom doesn’t allow you to save the Brush Tool adjustments in a Preset… so if you would like to download this free Preset please feel free to do so. But you will have to add your own Brush dodging and burning.

  2. I know I’ve already commented, Bren, but wow, the shot gets better every time I look at it; my favourite type of seascape with plenty of drama in the sky 😃
