One of the things I love to do with my still life photography is to use natural light. The above image was photographed with natural light coming from a window near to where I set up the shot. I just love how the natural light highlighted the top quarter of the ball.

Bren, I love how you came up with the name for your Photography business. I also love your still life. My dad was into glamour photography as well as landscape and had the entire light set-up. I agree 100% that natural light is so much better – as long as you are far enough away to get rid of blemishes and wrinkles. I remember some close up shots my dad took of me, for which I wanted to kill him. It took me about 50 years to allow someone to take my picture! 🙂 Thanks for sharing all the shutter information, too. I never managed to learn that.
Thank you… actually coming up with the name was one of my readers who came up with the name. They mentioned it tongue in cheek and it was one of those ideas that I immediately feel in love it.
I know that feeling…. I hate being in front of the camera. If I can get out of having my photo taken I will.
They are not alone. I have a best friend in CA and I have about three pictures of her face in over 35 years of friendship! 🙂
