On Saturday we took a stroll down Rochester High Street, I am a fan of someone’s resilience to overcome tough times and hurdles put in front of us.

I was in awe at the businesses along the high street, that were doing all they can to trade whilst in this horrible lockdown, due to COVID.

From setting up takeaways, to click and collect services. Businesses have faced a hard time during the last year, with many not surviving, but I do have to admire those that have found resilience and a way to starve the wolves away from the door and doing all they can to continue into the future once this pandemic is over.

Yes we will have to live with COVID for forever and a day but hopefully once people are vaccinated and science moves on, it will get to the point where we have to be vaccinated yearly, just like having your flu jab.

Life will return to normal in the future and once again us photographers will be out and about. So until that day… hang on in there…. things will get better.

  3. Fantastic shot, Bren; the monochrome gives it a real old-world feel 👏 Like you, I’m looking forward to being able to get out & about again with my camera more freely; as you say “hang on in there” 😃

    1. Thank you… I can’t wait for the gardens to open… the only thing is I like spring flowers and by the time we get out and about again, we’ll be in summer and I’d have missed them.
