Lens-Artists Photo Challenge #45: Street Art

Street Art comes in many forms, from graffiti to this man standing there perfectly still, in his shimmering painted mask and attire…

Statue

The above photograph was taken during the Sweeps Festival in Kent back in 2013.  I couldn’t believe how still he stood, you could hardly see him breathe. Mind you I did laugh at how the kids tried to make him move.  I thought it would be an ideal image for Patti Moed’s Lens Artists Photography Challenge, for this week called, Street Art.

  1. A wonderful choice Bren. I remember so vividly the first time I encountered one of these street performers. It was at a dinner event in Rome and as we entered one of the statues moved to shock us – and shock us she did!!!

  2. What a great idea, Bren! I hadn’t thought of these performers as street art, but they really are! Wonderful! I love how people are so fascinated by them!
