Not far from Tunbridge Wells, lies Salomons Estate. Salomons is actually a hotel and a museum. And one thing I like about Salomons Estate is that members of the public can stroll around their gardens and woodland.
On their website they say:
Set in 36 acres of gardens, parkland and woods, Salomons Estate was built for Sir David Salomons in the 1850s by the architect Decimus Burton.
Many visitors simply come to enjoy a stroll around the beautiful grounds and explore our Museum, where you can discover more about the people and events that helped shape this ‘mansion of many marvels’.
And I have to say the woodlands are enchanting.
And even though the gardens are small there is a variety of shrubs which flower in spring and summer. And of course, this quaint garden holds one of my favourite flowers, Hydrangeas.
So if you are looking for somewhere to go, why not give Salomons Estate a visit. And the best part of this is that Salomons is also dog-friendly as well as being a great wedding venue.
