Photo for the Week – 24 – Roses


First of all, my apologies for being a few hours late with this challenge.. rather hectic and boozy weekend.. 😀 😀 😀 Anyway the topic this week is one of my favourite flowers and that is roses.

So I thought I would show you a gallery of roses I’ve photographed over the many years.  And I’m looking forward to seeing your rose images.

Join the Challenge

If you wish to participate in the weekly challenge, please feel free… my weekly post will be published at 8am every Monday. The challenge will be called Photo for the Week# (representing the number) – Subject Name, and here are the instructions for entering:

  1. Publish a post on your blog by the following Monday as this challenge starts on a Monday and my post for the forthcoming week is published at 8 am UK Time.
  2. Use the tags PFTW or Photo for the Week – that way I can find the tags easily in WordPress Reader, which means I won’t miss a submission.
  3. Create a pingback to the relevant week.
  4. If you can’t create pingback/trackback, don’t worry, post a comment below and I will comment on your blog.

  1. […] Peace Rose in my ex-garden. Vancouver is a bit too wet for most roses and this one succumbed to various molds.Then I discovered old-fashioned roses. They seem immune to mold and the fragrance is what all roses should smell like! I often grabbed anyone that passed by and forced them to have a sniff of this fragrant Gertrude Jekyll rose.
