To me routine is… daily housework, doing the school run, preparing meals. Routine is something we do on a regular basis. And one thing I don’t want my photography to be is routine.
Because routines turn into chores. And I want my photography not to be chore, or routine. I want it to be inspirational.. go with the flow. Head off in the sunset and capture those images.
I want to walk on the beach at Folkestone in the sunset alone..
I want to sit down on the seafront at Folkestone and watch the boats bob up and down as the waves come in.
I want to head to the USA and walk into the wonders of Yosemite.
I want to smell the roses.
What I don’t want is for my photography to become a routine.. a chore and something I don’t like doing. I want my photography to be inspirational… I want it to represent freedom… and take me as far away as possible from the routines of daily life.
Yes yes yes. Photography should never be routine

Most definitely not… I would hate to feel that I have to pick my camera up. That is why we do photography as a hobyy.

Thank you… I would hate to have my photography turn into the feeling I get when me and the ironing board are reintroduced. 😀 😀 😀

One of my keys to a happy life is to establish routines that are fulfilling. Then I can sprinkle the exceptional in with the fulfilling routines.

You are right there … doing something you like along with doing something that is a chore, makes the chore more bearable.
