First of all, thanks go to everyone that entered last week’s challenge.. In 2016 we decided to go to Scotland for our week’s holiday. And we stayed in Glencoe. Just outside of the village as your drive along the main road.. you come to this beautiful waterfall.
As we didn’t have tripods with us we balanced our cameras on a hard surface and shot at f/22 to get the milky soft water effect. I really loved how it turned out.
Another waterfall we took was a year later in 2017 at Aria Force in Cumbria.

Again we hadn’t learnt to take our tripods, so yet again, so this image was yet again photographed by balancing our camera on a rock. We are getting quite good at this balancing malarky 😀 😀 😀

The challenge is for fun and as a way to introduce others to your blogs and/or photography. There are no hard and fast rules… just join in and have some fun xx
We also host a Mid-Week Monochrome Photography Challenge on a Wednesday.. if you’d like to enter please feel free to do so. Instructions on how to enter can be read here.

Pings backs don’t appear to be working for me:

So sorry to hear pingbacks are not working… have you tried putting the link in trackbacks (if you are using the old editor) and see if that works. Glorious photos… and thanks for entering xx
Oh I think I may have found your problem with pingbacks.. when I went to your link https://ryanphotography.uk/2018/09/17/photo-for-the-week-9-waterfalls/comment-page-1/ it links back to my post… but I think it won’t send a pingback because of this part of the link comment-page-1/. Hope that helps xx

Yeah. I’ve tried everything. I even created a new WordPress.com blog just to test with. Something is blocking the pingbacks and trackbacks.

Might be worth asking staff in the WordPress forum to have a look. Hope you get it sorted xx

Forgot to mention, I corrected the link but … still no ping. The problem is on my end for sure because I can’t ping any WordPress blogs.

I know WordPress had a problem ages ago with pingbacks… And I had the same problem. I solved mine with unchecking allow pingbacks and trackbacks in settings and saving those settings and then going back and checking the box to allow them.

I could not find the pingback to paste on my blog for waterfalls, but I did tag it photo for the week. Cheers.

Dan, When on the actual page, if the url hasn’t been pasted into the post for you to copy, just copy the actual page URL instead and that should do it. 🙂
