Back to Scotney

Bell Tower at Scotney
The Bell Tower and Visitor Centre at Scotney Castle in Kent.

At the moment I am really liking this soft style of processing and creating images which are a little more saturated.   The above image was photographed at the rear of the visitor centre.  Firstly why I chose the rear was because one there wasn’t people hanging around the café, visitor centre and shop and secondly because I think the landscaping around the building is beautiful.

Old Scotney Castle
A photograph of the Old Scotney Castle and lake.

As you stroll down towards the old castle, you can walk around the moat, come lake, and the above photograph was photographed from across the lake looking towards the old castle.  It was March and spring hadn’t really sprung yet.. and that great tree didn’t have a leaf on it at all.  In fact I like the tree being barren.  It adds character to it and you can see clearly the vast amount of branches that will become full of leaves and a whole lot greener.  I think it is the cold stark appearance of that tree that catches my eye, as it sits proud next to the old castle.
