Textures are all around us… whether it be leaves on the ground, or the bark on an old tree. We don’t have to look far before we find textures in a variety of objects.
We can also add textures to an image to create more depth.. textures can come from many places, paving slabs, bricks, tree bark, clouds, plaster and many other things. Even a photograph of crumpled paper can be used to add texture to an image.
I love playing around with textures in my photographic editing processes. What about you? Do you like to use textures on an image? And what kind of textures do you use in your images? If you are anything like me, I have my favourites and I tend to stick with those.
