Here I am busy catching up on the Weekly Photo Challenges set by WordPress every Wednesday. Sorry for them not being in date order but the first challenge that I missed and which caught my eye was the theme Out of Focus.
Not everything has to be in perfect focus… and one Photographer’s Work which I do love is Dan Shehan’s Photo Impression Fine Art and it is his work that gave me the inspiration to try something out of focus..
My image is of Canary Wharf taken from North Greenwich not far from the O2 Arena.

To create this image I used a photograph that I had already processed in Lightroom and added a path blur in Photoshop as well as adding a texture to the image.
I have to say, a couple of years ago, Photoshop scared the living daylights out of me… if I could steer clear of it I would. But now my confidence has grown – after watching countless of videos – and I have to say I am thoroughly enjoying learning new techniques and ways to create digital artwork.
Fine Art is about trying something new.. whether I will delve deeper into this form of photographic manipulation at the moment I am unsure… but I have to say it was fun trying something new.
