Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Open Topic

Taken by Ashley Ryan

During our visit to America last year, we took a coach trip to Yosemite National Park.  On route to the park the coach stopped at a little place called El Portal, where we came across a disused train and railway.

For Take 1 of the photograph I wanted to create a softer looking image.

For Take 2 I decided to use more contrast in the photograph and to soften the trees and the water-tower.

And of course no railway… is without its water tower and for this image.. I decided to give it a Sepia tone.

Which to made it look more as if it was out of a Western.

Thank you Cee for running this week’s Black and White Photo Challenge called Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge: Open Topic.  It is greatly appreciated.
